SC Coastal Animal Rescue and Educational Sanctuary is a no-kill, no-breed sanctuary for unwanted, abused, and neglected exotic animals. Located in Georgetown, SC, SC-CARES operates a wildlife rehabilitation center, develops educational outreach programs and provides a compassionate environment where animals are treated with love and respect, receive proper care and given a good quality of life.

Leslye, owner of the Beaver Bar in Murrells Inlet is AWESOME!! She has offered to host a fund raiser again for the animals of SC CARES!! We just love her!! Food will include BBQ, Slaw, and Baked Beans, Perlou and a Vegan Chili, and a dessert table and bake sale.There will be a contest to collect acorns used to feed the deer during the winter.There will be a raffle/door prize of a 50" flat screen HDTV. Tickets can be picked up at Sweeties, 707 Front St. in Georgetown, they will be $5/1 or $20/5, and winner does not have to be present. Tickets must be filled out with contact info. Other ticket locations listed on Events page of website.Activities include 2 bounce houses for the kids, cornhole games, face painting, and music. There will be a bake sale, and a table of souvenirs, t-shirts, jewelry, crafts, and calendars. Meet and greet a few animal ambassadors. SC-CARES volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the animals and the sanctuary’s rescue and educational activities. If you’ve ever been interesting in volunteering there is an increasing need for every talent at SC-CARES, from animal care and enrichment activities, to building, to fund raising, and everything in-between.
