Employer Matching Donation

Many employers will match donations to charitable organizations like SC-CARES. These companies may match donations made by their current employees, employees’ spouses, and even retirees! With each matched gift, know that you are doubling or even tripling your efforts. Check with your personnel office to see whether your company has a matching gift program.

Adopt-An-Animal

There are more than 100 animals at SC-CARES and caring for them is costly! We depend upon contributions from the community to meet our budget demands. When you Adopt-An-Animal, you provide funds that are needed not only for food and medical care, but also for the maintenance and improvement of animal habitats. Volunteer

Volunteers are fundamental to the continuation of the Sanctuary's work and we are always keen to welcome new people. Experience is not essential as full training will be given: a genuine interest in animal welfare and a sense of commitment is more important to us. SC-CARES has been helping animals for over 13 years here in SC and for many years before moving to SC. It was an accumulation of circumstances, a perfect storm, that is forcing us to close. Considering Skips serious health issues (multiple myeloma cancer), our physical and emotional stress, fluctuating financial and vet support, we couldnt see a light at the end of this tunnel. We did not see a way for the sanctuary to continue in the event one or both of us encountered a crisis. We decide for the animals sake we needed to get ahead of things, before their lives are impacted from any sort of crisis situation.
