SC Coastal Animal Rescue and Educational Sanctuary is a no-kill, no-breed sanctuary for unwanted, abused, and neglected exotic animals. Located in Georgetown, SC, SC-CARES operates a wildlife rehabilitation center, develops educational outreach programs and provides a compassionate environment where animals are treated with love and respect, receive proper care and given a good quality of life.

Meet the Animals

The sanctuary provides a compassionate 'no-kill/no-breed' haven for abused, neglected and unwanted exotic animals. A safe caring place in which they can live out their days in a healthy, natural environment with a good quality of life. We also rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured wildlife. Wildlife that cannot be released may become goodwill ambassadors for their species by participating in educational programs.

Come join us to celebrate SC C.A.R.E.S. 10th year "Animalversary" on Sat. Oct 1st at Pet Galley- 4484 Hwy 17 Bus. Murrells Inlet,SC. Time- 11am-4pm. Well have food, crafts, games, music and fun for all!! SC CARES was founded in 2006 and were so grateful that with the generosity of others weve been able to help many animals in need that had no where else to turn. SC CARES is currently home to 150 animals.A sanctuary for exotics, farm animals and non-releasable wildlife. We offer tours by appointment for anyone who would like to visit them!
