SC Coastal Animal Rescue and Educational Sanctuary is a no-kill, no-breed sanctuary for unwanted, abused, and neglected exotic animals. Located in Georgetown, SC, SC-CARES operates a wildlife rehabilitation center, develops educational outreach programs and provides a compassionate environment where animals are treated with love and respect, receive proper care and given a good quality of life.

Meet the Animals

The sanctuary provides a compassionate 'no-kill/no-breed' haven for abused, neglected and unwanted exotic animals. A safe caring place in which they can live out their days in a healthy, natural environment with a good quality of life. We also rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured wildlife. Wildlife that cannot be released may become goodwill ambassadors for their species by participating in educational programs.

Chocolate & Champagne for the Creatures
Saturday, February 13, 2016 • Time: 5-9 pm
Chocolate and Champagne is a special event designed for lovers of chocolate and animals just in time for Valentine’s Day. Bring your sweetie to the Cooper House in Socastee on February 13 from 5 to 9pm and enjoy heavy horsdoeuvres, chocolate candies by Sweeties in Georgetown and culinary treats by volunteers from the business community. Also champagne, live music, and a silent auction. Guaranteed to be a fun night out for a great cause! Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
